An introduction to Angell Stevenson, an author of crime / murder / thriller fiction.

I was born and raised in a small town in the deep south. Following the receipt of a BA in psychology and sociology from a liberal arts college in the Mid-Atlantic, I continued my educational studies for over a decade. Graduate school enabled me to travel. Each year I applied for scholarships, accepting any offer that enabled me to enroll in another school and live in another city.

Four universities later, I ultimately received a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. I enjoyed the academic environment. Often quoted as saying, “Had school paid better, I may have never left.”

My first job was Assistant Professor at a Medical University in Chicago, where I held a medical staff appointment. Moving to a hi-rise in the windy city opened a new world. For six years I taught medical students interviewing skills.

Yearning to write, the next phase of my life centered around a career in corporate media. My published work included educational newsletters, annual reports, and promotional literature. I was a frequent guest on a variety of radio talk shows and CNN.

I recently left the corporate world and turned my attention to fictional writing. I decided to move with my partner to Los Angeles.

A number of my stories have been submitted for consideration. I invite you to stay tuned to my site as my work moves forward. When a writing is available, I’ll provide links to anyone on my blog.

Meanwhile, keep reading! A well-read world is a better place to live.
